At Anglers Guide Service, our Guides are the heart of everything we do. Because successful fishing trips depend on experience, communication, and passion, we proudly introduce the people who make every trip safe, enjoyable, and memorable. Based in Forks, Washington, our guiding team brings decades of hands-on knowledge from the rivers of Western Washington and beyond.

First and foremost, Traci Kratzer plays a vital role in the daily operations of Anglers Guide Service. As both business partner and proud wife of owner Robert Kratzer, Traci helps ensure every guided trip begins smoothly. Born and raised in Washington, she grew up immersed in the outdoors and continues to live that lifestyle today. Moreover, as an avid outdoor woman, she understands the needs of anglers and families alike. Traci is also a devoted mother to two daughters, Kaitlyn and Bailee, who have grown up fishing and hunting right alongside their parents. When you call to book a trip, Traci is often your first point of contact. Therefore, she gladly answers questions, helps plan your adventure, and ensures every detail fits your goals.
Our guides combine knowledge, integrity, and dedication.
Equally important, Robert “Bob” Kratzer brings more than 38 years of professional guiding experience to the water. Born and raised in Washington, Robert spent his early years camping and fishing throughout both Eastern and Western Washington. Under his father’s guidance, he learned to wade small streams while targeting rainbow and cutthroat trout. As time passed, however, his passion for salmon and steelhead quickly grew. Consequently, once he could drive, he fished nearly every river he could reach.
Eventually, Robert moved to Forks at the age of 22, where he built Anglers Guide Service into one of the region’s most respected operations. For decades, he has guided clients through fall Chinook seasons, winter steelhead runs, summer fisheries, and powerful sturgeon battles. Even so, what truly drives Robert today is teaching. In fact, he finds more joy in watching clients succeed than catching fish himself. Because of that mindset, he constantly refines techniques and stays at the forefront of salmon and steelhead fishing.
Outside of guiding, Robert spends time with his family hunting Washington blacktail and Idaho whitetail deer. Meanwhile, he remains fully licensed through the state and U.S. Coast Guard, insured, and trained in first aid and CPR.
Ultimately, our guides combine knowledge, integrity, and dedication. As a result, Anglers Guide Service delivers safe, educational, and unforgettable fishing experiences on every trip.
